Piano Lessons

My Education and Approach to Teaching

I have a BA in Music from San Francisco State University where I studied classical piano with Carlo Busotti. I like music in general, not just classical music. I love writing songs, arranging them and performing them. I recently studied with a teacher of the Taubman Technique.

I teach young and old alike and tailor the lessons to the individual student.

I’ve been using Faber method books for beginners. The series is called “Piano Adventures” by Nancy and Randall Faber. I tend to be flexible in my teaching approach and mostly just want to help the student learn and explore music.

I feel that, like medicine, piano is a practice. In other words, studying piano requires practice to some degree or other. It’s a big part of how you learn it.
